Samsung Galaxy S4 Receives Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Custom ROM

Team Radium has released an updated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4 device. The new OS is based on CyanogenMod ROM and it comes with new Settings, new animations and many other features such as: status bar settings, wakelock blocker, gesture anywhere, custom battery status style, the ability to enable/disable the recent floating action button, enhanced performance and many more.
Keep in mind that the new Radium Android 5.1.1 Lollipop must be installed on the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) device or else it will not work. To check the device model, go to Settings->About Phone->Model Number.

At the same time, the device must be rooted or else you will not be able to install the custom ROM. Before you start the installation, we also suggest you to make sure that the device has at least 70-80% battery left, because you wouldn’t want it to shutdown in the middle of the installation process.
Installing Radium Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Custom ROM On Samsung Galaxy S4

Download the Radium Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM zip and Google Apps zip files on your computer and connect the Galaxy S4 to your computer using an USB cable.

Copy both zip files to the microSD card of your Galaxy S4, preferably in the root directory so that you can find them easier. As the installation will wipe all the data from your Galaxy S4, we suggest you to use the TWRP tool to back up all your important data.

After that, you will need to turn off the Galaxy S4 and disconnect it from your computer. Boot in Recovery Mode by pressing and holding the Volume down, Volume Up and Home buttons. Clear the memory of your Galaxy S4 by selecting wipe data/factory reset and clear the cache memory by selecting “wipe cache partition”.

Go to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card” and select the Radium Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM zip file. Do the same thing for the Google Apps zip file and once the installation is complete, reboot your device.

After the Galaxy S4 boots back, you will notice that the device is now running on Radium Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM. To check the Android OS version that your device runs on, go to Settings->About Phone.
