ASUS has added a new member to its ZenFone family with the launch of a
new 3G-enabled smartphone named ASUS ZenFone Go in the Indian market.
Priced at Rs. 7,999, the handset is available for purchase via Flipkart,
ASUS exclusive stores and all major retail outlets across the country.
Revealing the ZenFone Go, Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group at ASUS India said, “We are excited to publicize the availability of ASUS ZenFone Go for our Indian consumers. India is a serious market for us and we aim to bring cutting edge products to our customers here, who seek power packed design receptivity of a high-end smartphone at reasonable prices.”
The ASUS ZenFone Go (ZC500TG) boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 294 PPI and an anti-fingerprint coating on the top.
Powered by a MediaTek MT6580 Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, the ZenFone Go is available in two storage variants i.e. 8GB and 16GB, expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the handset sports an entry-level 8MP Autofocus rear camera with Back Light Mode and a 2MP FF front-facing camera. Out-of-the-box, the ASUS ZenFone Go runs on company’s own ZenUI based on latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
The ZenUI comes with some new features like ZenMotion, Trend Micro Dr. Safety and ZenUI Instant Updates that boosts usability and ensures privacy and security.
The dual-SIM ASUS ZenFone Go is fueled by a 2,070 mAh Li-Polymer battery. The handset comes with 100GB of Google Drive storage, which is free for 2 years.
Connectivity-wise, the smartphone comes with 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack port.
