iPhone 6 Vs HTC One Vs Galaxy S6: Design, Resolution, and Camera Specs Compared

The iPhone 6, the HTC One M9 and the Galaxy S6 have been touted to be the top three smartphones of 2015, with users having to choose from the rival handsets of the year.

As 2015 draws to a close, three smartphone brands have caught people's attention with their designs and specs: the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the iPhone 6 have been going head to head in terms of user approval.

While the Cupertino, California tech giant remains one of the top selling smartphone brands on the planet with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, its rival brand Samsung, after having missed the mark with the Galaxy S4 and S5, has attempted to right its mistakes with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
HTC, meanwhile, came out strong in the last two years but its HTC One M9 has exhibited a marked lack of innovation, putting it under enormous pressure to stand up to competition.

In terms of design, Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge edges rivals out of the arena with its aluminum chassis and sharper edges, as well as a glass backing giving a firmer grip. The three smartphones average 5 inches, with only the iPhone 6 Plus edging towards the 6-inch range with its 5.5-inch size.
Resolution-wise, HTC carries the same 1920 x 1080 Full HD display as its predecessors did, running neck on neck with the Galaxy S6's similar Full HD specs, while the iPhone 6 lags behind with its 750 x 1334 resolution. Despite that, the iPhone presents the warmest color display of the three, with HTC having the least bright aspect.

The Galaxy S6 camera tops both the iPhone 6's and HTC's with its high quality snaps featuring richer colors without presenting oversaturated images of over-exposed bright scenes. While the iPhone still has a quality camera onboard, it can't come close to the Galaxy S6's. Neither can the HTC, despite its 20MP sensor.
