Google Is Providing Free Wi-Fi At 400 Railway Stations In India

If something has visibly changed under Modi administration, it has to be the Indian Railways. After a mega revamp of the IRCTC website, Google has come forward to provide free Wi-Fi at more than 400 railway stations across the country.

Under project ‘Nilgiri’, Google will be putting to use the Google Fiber project, known for providing high speed broadband in the USA. While the connectivity will remain throughout, high speed data transfer will be available for only the first 30 minutes. The project will be up and running in the coming four months.
