Apple will finally let you delete the iPhone's default apps

Native Apple apps like Stocks, Podcasts and Apple Watch just clog up your phone. Tim Cook says that may change

Apple chief executive Tim Cook has said the company may finally allow iPhone users to delete native Apple apps they never use.

These are the ones you hide away in a folder labelled "Junk" the minute you set up your new iPhone: Compass, Stocks, Podcasts etc.

Cook acknowledged the problem in an interview with Buzzfeed, saying, "I recognise that some people want to do this, and it's something we are looking at."

Ever since the 2007 launch of iOS it has been impossible to remove these apps from the home screen, with users only able to hide them away.

Several Twitter users have complained about this feature.
